Surprised? PLASTIC – the principle target in a word-wide propaganda against its use, is actually being called a Champion in our very first blog post 😮
Well, we hope to have convinced you by the time you reach the end of this post….
It has been an eventful year globally, with the COVID 19 pandemic that has seen the world reel under its viciousness and has claimed several lives.
– We have hailed the heroes who have worked relentlessly to serve those in need.
– We have criticised leaders for failing to keep up with the rising and falling expectations associated with this pandemic and its ever evolving state.
– Economies have failed.
– Businesses have shut down.
– Educational institutions closed.
– People have lost – loved ones, homes, jobs, their peace of mind…
In all this commotion, it was evident that hygiene and health products were being consumed frantically and there was an immediate and urgent need to come up with large numbers of equipments and materials to combat the situation.
Masks, face shields, sanitisers (bottles, caps, dispensers), personal protective equipment (PPE), overalls, disposable shoe covers, gloves and equipments like ventilators and thermometers etc. were suddenly in great demand world over.
Now here enters our CHAMPION – PLASTIC 💪
One of the most versatile and useful materials planet earth has seen, plastic has invaded every inch of our lives and rightly so. Now mind you… we are talking about how plastic is a miracle material and can be used to create almost anything today. The problem is not the material, but the way humans have been irresponsible in its disposal. But let’s leave that for another day…
Useful and valuable in almost every industry from Pharma, Healthcare, Electronics, Electrical, FMCG, Agriculture, Industrial Manufacturing, Automobiles – You name it, the Champion Plastic reigns.
So, what has been the contribution of plastic in this COVID 19 pandemic? Can you name another material that could have substituted the Champion Plastic in meeting the demands of a paranoid global crisis?
Easily available, cost effective, versatile, light weight, blends with other materials to create new products…We cannot think of any other material with half these qualities.
So we say, The Champion has done its bit – Played a hero’s role in helping the human race manufacture tons of medical supplies and supporting equipment at record speeds. Now it’s our turn to make sure we don’t tarnish the Champion Plastic’s reputation. Let’s be responsible when we dispose plastic waste….
Stay tuned to our next post for details. Cheers!
